THE SPOTS OF AUDIERNE BAY

Cap sizun

At the end of the Breton point in Finistère, the 4.6.1 Surf school welcomes you in the exceptional and preserved setting that is the Cap Sizun in the heart of the Audierne bay. This bay bounded to the north by the Pointe du Raz and to the south by Penmarc’h draws a circular arc which ideally captures the slightest swell. Beach, creek, rocky point… this diversity allows us to practice all year round in the best possible conditions.

Located between Cap-Sizun and the Bigouden Country, the 4.6.1 Surf school welcomes you on the beach of Gwendrez in Plouhinec.

Surf spots

The beach of Gwendrez sums up surfing, a great area of freedom! Far away from the world, you can surf here in the peace and quiet of long sand waves.

The beach of Gwendrez has been awarded the Blue Flag since 2015 (it promotes an awareness of a behaviour more respectful of nature and its riches). The beach is supervised by the liveguards during the months of July and August.

Perfectly exposed, the spot lends itself particularly to surfing, whatever your level (beginners or advanced). The beach catches the smallest summer swells. Even when there is no swell, you can always find something to slide here a few kilometers from Gwendrez, especially on the beach of Stang ar Liou which is a real wave magnet!
The different sandbanks allow you to choose your peak according to your level: long and soft waves for beginners, deeper and more powerful waves for experienced surfers.

Out of season, the 4.6.1 surf school travels to the different spots of Cap Sizun (Audierne, Plouhinec, Plogoff, …) and the Pays Bigouden to find the best conditions according to your level.
